Novus prides itself on its Technical Support and Customer Care. We provide quality support and endeavour to resolve all technical problems and provide 100% customer satisfaction.
To those ends we are providing in our help section as much information as possible to assist our customers. We have a detailed section of datasheets and manuals, which customer can download. The detailed FAQ section aids customers who may have problems or questions relating to the operation of our products. To further aid technical problems we have a troubleshooting page for customers out of hours.
Our returns policy is clearly stated and should be adhered to if returning products for repair.
Customer Notice
Recently we have noted that NORTON and AVG have performed automatic updates which have blocked the COM Ports from working with a few or our customer.
Disabling the program has resolved the problem for some customers but sadly we haven't been able to find a way round this issue without having to uninstall the anti-virus program for the customers this has not worked on. We are looking into ways to get round this issue, but we can only suggest that you try a different computer that is not use any of the above programs.
Windows 7
We have tested Windows 7 on many different platforms and after overcoming a few issues we are now happy with the results.
The Talisman Speed Camera Overlay is the only product that is not compatible with Windows 7 at the moment. We are going to release a new installer once the issue has been resolved, but for the moment we have been testing a simple work around to get Talisman working.
If you are using Window 7 then please follow the steps below after the installation.
1. Install the software as normal.
2. Now ‘Right' mouse click on the 'Novus Talisman Installer' icon the desktop.
3. You will see a menu option ‘Troubleshoot Compatibility', please click on this.
4. Windows will now try and solve to issue by using a different setting to run the program.
5. Once found it will ask you to ‘Try Recommended Setting'.
6. It will normally bring up the compatibility mode of XP SP 2.
7. Now click the ‘Start the program' button.
8. Once the Novus Talisman Installer is open, click on the ‘Next' button on Windows compatibility and click ‘Yes, save these settings for this program'.
9. You will now be able to enter the two codes again and get the overlay installed.
10. This will only need to be done once, but if is stops working then just follow the steps from the beginning.
